The Perfect Beauty Match

There are thousands of different and unique ways to style your makeup and hair. They are the perfect avenue to allow anyone to express themselves through the different designs and colors. However, have you ever wondered which style perfectly suits you? Well, luckily makeup and hair specialists have done research on which colors and styles are the most flattering on someone. They base this on a multitude of characteristics, such as face shape, eye color, and skin undertones.

You might not think that your face shape can affect the way you do your makeup and hair; however, there are distinct hairstyles that are compatible with your face. The different shapes include oval, square, round, heart, long, and diamond. An oval-shaped face is perfectly accompanied by a blunt bob above the shoulders or any sleek hairstyle. As for those with square face shapes, straight hair with long layers is a flattering way to provide framing. A shoulder-length textured lob works best with round, diamond, and heart shapes, especially with loose curls. Lastly, for the long, it is best equipped with a chin-length bob that is accompanied by bangs. This would even out the look of the elongated face, as a long straight haircut would make the face look even longer.

Many parts of a common makeup routine evolve around the eye. This is why modeling a specific color to be around your eyes is so important when doing your makeup. For example, blue eyes are extremely flattering when accompanied by a silver shade of eyeshadow or eyeliner. Both of these are cohesive with each other as they have a cold sense to them. When wanting to be more dramatic, blue eyes pop out when in contrast with a black smokey eye. However, when it comes to brown eyes, almost any color can be added to enhance your makeup. With green and hazel eyes, it is best to stick to earthy tones. This includes reddish pigments, creams, light pinks, and many other neutral colors. If your eyes have gold flecks in them, the addition of shimmery gold eyeshadow to the lid makes for a beautiful makeup look. This is the perfect beginner’s guide to decide on which color to start testing out, in order for your eyes to find its perfect color match.

The last physical feature that can be looked into when deciding what color of makeup is cohesive with your face is skin undertones. Someone can either have warm or cool undertones to their skin. A warm undertone is when your skin reflects having a reddish or yellow pigment, while a cool one displays more of a blue hue. This shouldn’t be confused with skin tone as that is the surface color of your face, as an undertone is beneath the surface. Some colors that match warm undertones for eyeshadow include green, brown, gold, or pink. While someone with cool undertones should test out using blue, silver, and a peachy tint. Using these correlated colors allows your skin to contrast with the pigment and achieve that glow.

At the end of the day, you should style your hair and makeup in any way you feel the most confident and empowered. However, testing out these different styles is a new way to see if you end up liking the color pairs and hairstyles that have been discovered in being the most compatible. You might just find your perfect beauty match!
