You’re Nailing It

The leaves are falling, the special holiday lattes are in full drive, and we’re approaching that time when it gets a little too chilly to leave the house without a jacket. That’s right, the fall season is in full swing and it’s time to start celebrating. One way that you can get involved and get into this season's spirit is by getting fall-inspired nails. Don’t stress if you don’t quite know what that entails or where to get started. We are about to dive into the different designs, color schemes, and everything there is to know to set you up with the perfect fall nail look!

Nail that perfect color

You might want to leave your bright and bold colored nails behind for the next couple of months. Try switching them out for shades that are more suitable for this season. Fall gives off a cozy and natural ambiance, so why not reflect that on your nails. If you are more drawn to neutral colors, fall was made for you to get your nails done. For example, brown is a perfect neutral color to get in touch with those earthy undertones, while also capturing that perfect fall aesthetic. This color is also ideal for those looking to have their nails match any outfit they decide to wear. Another popular choice is to get a deep red color—and we all know how loved maroon is here in Aggieland. This shade matches this time of year as it encapsulates cozy vibes and its unquestionable warmth is much needed as it gets colder. On the other hand, if you’re looking to be both bold and on-trend, a dark orange will help you stand out this fall. This rustic shade will have everyone thinking of pumpkins, candles, and the orange crisp leaves on the ground. These colors are perfect for the weather and will make you want to get your nails done before fall comes to an end.

Designs to fall for

Is getting a solid color on your nails too plain for you? If so, there are many different ways to vamp up your nails and make them a little more eye-catching. If simplistic designs are more your style, think about getting wavy lines added on top of your color. This trend has been circulating the past few months and is perfect for autumn. This abstract design is not too distracting but certainly spices up your nails. Another design fitting for the season is inspired by our favorite fall fashion staple: flannels. It’s most certainly flannel weather and adding white or black lines on top of your base color can bring this trend to life in a new way.

Find the apple of your eye

There is a wide range of ways that you can style your nails for this fall season. This versatility means there’s a perfect color and design out there for everyone, just waiting to be discovered. Trying new styles may seem daunting, but it might be the key to finding your perfect look. One thing to consider is the type of manicure: acrylic, gel, shellac, or regular polish. Some people choose fake nails for their added length and notable durability. Painted nails do chip quicker, but a lot of people looking to save are drawn to this option as it doesn’t break the bank. Another perk of just using nail polish is that you can recreate one of these fall nail ideas in the comfort of your home. Whether you’re in a salon or on your couch, there are ways for you to try out this season’s nail looks. So pick up that hot pumpkin spice latte with your stylish new manicure and get into the fall spirit.
